Red Fox Forest School was established in 2017 in West Sussex, to bring both children and adults together with and in nature, to promote wellbeing, a meaningful connection to the world and a shared love of learning outdoors. During that time we have led regular Early Years, Primary and Secondary school groups in and out of the school setting, SEND sessions in local woodlands, as well as having enjoyed meeting a huge variety of fabulous people through farm days, campsite sessions, birthday parties, open days and festivals. We are based in West Sussex, just north of Brighton but do not work from a fixed location and are happy to travel to you or discuss your requirements. Our passion is the outdoors and everything that accompanies it… even the weather!
So This is me!
Being totally passionate about the natural world and all it has to offer, facilitating groups outside, getting muddy and sitting around a fire, surrounded by nature with lots of people and a marshmallow is a great way to spend the day!
Having had 25 years professional experience in the outdoors firstly working as a multi activity instructor with many diverse groups; from schools to Princes Trust and AMEX . This then inspired me to live out in the French Alps leading team building, climbing, skiing and even building igloos. I then enjoyed working closley with ASD and those with life limiting disabilities in Sussex.
Red Fox now gives me the opportunity to combine all those amazing experiences with my Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies and Education, L3 Forest School Leader and Yoga Teacher qualifications and my work as a SENDCo. I also draw on my hobbies of foraging, woodwork, natural fibre work, and wild plants to create a nurturing, inclusive, knowledgeable and unique experience for all ages.
